Amber and I made an amazing clock from part of my collection of dinner plates. It's hard to tell, but this thing is HUGE. It measures 60 inches across and the minute hand is 17 inches long. Amber did all the tricky measuring to make it work right and it actually tells the correct time. I have been collecting place settings for years and my cupboards are overflowing. This gives me a great way to display some and frees up space to buy more!! I love it when a plan works!

Amber and the kids have been spending a few weeks with me here in the glorious north. Between afternoons at the pool, we have been crafty ladies. Here is our latest creation - Miss L in her rag skirt and bandanna shirt. The rag strips came from my fabric scraps and we bought the bandannas at Hobby Lobby. She loves to twirl dance around like the pirate princess she is.

Mom and I went to the Art Fair at Nubs Nob in Harbor Springs last week. There was a booth with embellished denim that was incredibly cute, and somewhat well priced. However, in true Wrinkly fashion we cried, "We can make that!" and today, I did! Be-ribboned shorts at the Art Fair were $20.00, mine were $7.00 for the shorts, ribbon, and buttons.

I have been missing in action, enjoying my summer. I can't believe it is the middle of July already. I have spent a lot of time at the pool with family. Amber and the kids are visiting till the end of the month. We've gone to a family reunion, art fairs, parades and playgrounds. Summer is passing so swiftly. I want to slow it down and savor each moment.
